By downloading, accessing, or using Rooted (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and [Your Company Name] ("we," "our," or "us"), the operator of Rooted.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Rooted. The App is not designed for, marketed to, or intended for children under 13. By using the App you represent that you meet this requirement. • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

• You may not create more than one account per person or transfer your account to another person.

You agree to use Rooted only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes consistent with its design as a faith-rooted growth application. You agree not to:

• Upload, transmit, or share content that is illegal, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or obscene.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your relationship status, faith background, or identity.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract data from the App or its underlying systems.
• Use the App in any way that could disable, overburden, or impair its infrastructure.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or tools to access or interact with the App.

Rooted allows users to pair with a partner for shared experiences (journeys, conversation cards, intimacy prompts, etc.). By initiating or accepting a couple pairing:

• You consent to your paired partner being able to see shared activity, including streak data, badge progress, and conversation card history relevant to the couple experience.
• Intimacy responses are processed using a double-blind matching system — your individual responses are never directly revealed to your partner.
• You may dissolve a couple pairing at any time through your account settings.

Certain features of Rooted require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service (available at stripe.com/legal).

• Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected at checkout).
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at [contact email]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods unless required by applicable law.
• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice. Continued use of the App after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

You may submit content to the App, including prayer journal entries and scripture memory progress ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant [Your Company Name] a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display that content solely as necessary to operate the App and provide the service to you.

You represent that you have the right to submit any User Content you provide, and that it does not violate these Terms or any applicable law.

All content, design, code, trademarks, and other materials in the App (excluding User Content) are the property of [Your Company Name] or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or brand features without prior written permission.

Rooted is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Rooted is not a licensed counseling, therapy, or mental health service. Content in the App is for personal growth and spiritual encouragement purposes only and is not a substitute for professional pastoral, psychological, or medical advice.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, [Your Company Name] and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $50 USD.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless [Your Company Name] and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the App; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any third-party rights.
